Description:
A lady under the residence visa sponsorship of husband or father can get a work permit from Ministry of Labor to be able to legally work for a company; the work permit is valid for 2 years.
Earlier only female expatriates under the sponsorship of their father or husband were allowed to work in the UAE. With the new decision females who are under the sponsorship of family members such as the mother, brother or uncles can work in the country after acquiring a labor card. Under the labor law no expatriate are allowed to work in the country unless they obtain a work permit and labor card.
While the common practice is that females are sponsored by either their father or husband, mothers in certain professions such as doctors, engineers and pharmacists can also become sponsors. In exceptional cases, brothers and uncles can also sponsor female relatives.
Components of ladies work permit
1. Labor Card (work permit) - An ATM size card that legally allows a person to work for a company. This card will have company name and designation of the employee.
2. Labor Contract- It is a legal agreement between the company and the employee which states the working conditions, hours, salary and benefits bounded under the UAE labor laws
Documents Required.
1. Passport Copy with stamp page of the applicant (valid up to six months)
2. Passport copy of sponsor with visa page
3. NOC letter from sponsor
4. Residence visa copy
5. Residence Visa copy of the sponsor
6. Attested Degree certificate copy. (Require for specific trades)
7. Profession and salary details (Offer Letter).
8. Passport size Personal photos 8 (with white background)
9. Trade license copy of the company
10. Immigration card copy of the company
11. Labor Card Copy of the company
12. Tenancy contract copy
13. Location map of the company
14. Personal Information such as address in home country, phone number in home country
